Eu adoro Glberto Gil.
I cannot get enough of this song. The trio creates a contagious collaboration filled with subtle, yet boisterous sounds. I will admit that when I was a wee middle-schooler, I took a liking to Blue Cantrell’s ‘Hit ‘em Style’, but this rendition of the song is wonderfully better.
Beirut covering Caetano Veloso’s ‘O Leaozinho’, which translates to little lion. Zach Condon’s cover of this is so beautiful with his instrumentals and not to mention his voice. Be sure to check out the original version so you can listen to the authentic Portuguese accent. Eu adoro Portugues ! A lingua portuguesa e belissima.
This song reminds me of driving to the lake with my parents on weekends during the summer when I was in elementary school. We would pack a picnic and post up on the shore all day. I miss those days.. I also used to think the guitar slide sounded like a Cat! (Don’t ask me why.. because it has absolutely no resemblance to a meow)
My love for Lykke Li began when I first saw this video. You have no idea how many times I have replayed this. So beautiful.
In a Bruce comatose.
Two things:
1. Bruce is a total babe.
a. I don’t mind that my internet is super slow and pauses every 5 seconds to load because I literally get more “face time” with Brucey.
2. I can’t believe my graduating class of high school chose MGMT’s ‘Time to Pretend’ over this song. What an embarrassment.
She is my inspiration to work hard at guitar.
An electric will be the next huge purchase for me. Meow.
This eats at my heart.
Leslie Feist creates pure dreams on her electric and with her vocals. The sounds are smoothly electrifying, instilling this infectious flood of warmth throughout the entire body. It is hard not to like whatever she is playing because there are so many enchanting sounds, you are surely to find something moving from each song.
This song is overflowing with smokey sounds. It will have you on your feet for the entirety.
